The Joanna corset is a high racerback overbust corset with front close lacings. Princess seams shape the bust. It fits snug to the body, structured enough to be worn sans-bra. You can pair it with an undershirt or wear it commando! The front laces are a golden yellow woven machine lace. Don’t be fooled by their delicate appearance, they are quite strong! Vintage new old stock rickrack trim accentuates the bottom edge and neckline. When worn on the reverse side, the trim is more subtle, giving you two looks in one.

The textile used to make this corset top was originally used to make an outfit for Grammy-winning bassist Mono Neon. It is a vintage Italian-made double weave blanket that has quilt batting between the layers of the double weave. I have never seen anything like it! The jacquard weave illustrates pastoral scenes such as trees, rolling hills, and small cabins.

There is flexibility in the sizing, as you can wear it with as much or as little of a gap in the front as you like. At its tightest, with the laces snugged tight together, this corset measures 36″ at the bust and 29″ at the bottom edge. From the highest point of the shoulder to the bottom edge, it measures 17″, which sits slightly above your natural waist. The scoop front drops 6″ from the hollow of your throat, which is neither scandalous nor overly modest.
