Chill Mail Scarf

This Chill Mail scarf is an upcycled, wearable personal radiator that can cool you down on a hot day. By harnessing the power of evaporative cooling, Chill Mail moves heat away from your body.  This generously sized extra large scarf provides 780 square inches of cooling.  Simply dampen the scarf to activate the cooling power.  When it starts to dry out, recharge with another splash of water!

Hand crocheted from 100% pure linen, in straight rows with a border of single crochet stitches around the edge. The linen thread was sourced from a family of weavers in the Midwest USA who did a studio clear-out and sold off all their odd lots.  I purchased the whole box full, which may very well be enough linen thread to last my lifetime!
