Sleeve Swap Trucker Jacket

The 3/4 sleeves on this upcycled trucker jacket are made from an amazing Hawaiian style cut work applique quilt. All hand-stitched and densely hand-quilted with perle cotton. I worked the long sleeve seams on the outside, wrapping them tightly in red bias tape to create a piped seam. The armscye (that’s the technical term for the sleeve hole) is flat-bound in the same red bias tape.

The jacket is a vintage GAP denim trucker jacket with a graceful double arc on the back yoke. The waistband is backed with island style stripe fabric that matches the locker loop inside the collar. This jacket is well broken-in, but not weathered, with many years of hard wear left in it.

Roughly a size medium, with 3/4 sleeves. Could also be worn as a medium-petite, or as a children’s large. Measures 38″ at chest, and 36″ at waist. The shoulder is 14.5″ and the sleeve is 18″. It is 18.5″ at center back.
